Eyelid position and function
These operations are done for a medical reason rather than appearance, and are usually available on the NHS.

Tear duct surgery
Endoscopic DCR is a day case under general anaesthetic. Puncto-canaliculoplasty is done under local anaesthetic.

Done in the treatment room under local anaesthetic, usually in well under an hour.

Skin cancer surgery and eyelid reconstruction
Skin cancer surgery is available on the NHS and is covered by most insurance policies. These prices are for patients who choose to self-fund. Laboratory analysis is included throughout this section.

Prices were last reviewed in September 2026. You will always be given the total in writing before you decide to go ahead, and it will not change afterwards. Where an operation is more involved than it first appears, I will tell you the revised figure before booking rather than afterwards.
Most of the functional and reconstructive operations on this page are available on the NHS at Queen Alexandra, where there is no charge to you. Ask your GP or optometrist for a referral. Paying privately buys you a shorter wait and a chosen date, not a different operation or a different surgeon. Whether your area will fund a given operation at all is a separate question, decided by your integrated care board rather than by any national rule, and worth settling before you pay. If you are insured with Aviva, Allianz, Alliance Healthcare, Bupa or Vitality, these prices do not apply to you. Your insurer is billed directly at their agreed rate. Contact us before booking so we can confirm your cover and obtain pre-authorisation.
External tear duct surgery, Lester Jones tubes, and orbital and socket surgery are quoted individually, because the anaesthetist's fee and the theatre time both vary with the operation. Ask and you will get a written figure.
